# Risk Cloud API: Postman

> Set up the Risk Cloud API Postman workspace and send your first request.

LogicGate provides a user-friendly Postman workspace for building and refining custom
integrations with the Risk Cloud API.

## Setup Instructions

**Prerequisites**

* An API Bearer Token or Client Key & Secret Key — see [Authentication](https://developers.logicgate.ai/guides/api-usage/authentication.md).
* Fork the Risk Cloud API Postman Collection into your own workspace.

**Environment configuration**

Set these variable/value pairs in the Risk Cloud API Environment:

| Variable | Value |
| - | - |
| `bearerToken` | Your API Bearer Token |
| `baseUrl` | Your Risk Cloud environment URL, e.g. `https://{subdomain}.logicgate.com` |
| `basicAuthUsername` | Your client key (if using client/secret auth) |
| `basicAuthPassword` | Your secret key (if using client/secret auth) |

## Step-by-step example

1. Click **Run in Postman** and select **Fork Collection**.
2. Customize the fork name.
3. Go to **Environments**, select your new environment, and fill in `bearerToken` and `baseUrl`.
4. Go to **Collections**, pick an endpoint (e.g. `GET /api/v2/records`), open **Authorization**,
choose **Bearer Token**, and enter `{{bearerToken}}`.
5. Confirm the correct environment is selected, then click **Send**.
6. If no results appear, re-check your token and user permissions — see
   [Authentication](https://developers.logicgate.ai/guides/api-usage/authentication.md) or the troubleshooting guide.
