# Risk Cloud API: Viewing Users

> Retrieve a list of all Users in your Risk Cloud environment for use in other API requests.

This article walks through obtaining User information for review and future API requests via the
Risk Cloud API.

## Authentication

Obtain your API Access Token before getting started — see
[Authentication](https://developers.logicgate.ai/guides/api-usage/authentication.md).

## Permissions

Listing all Users via the Risk Cloud API requires an Access Token generated from an Admin Primary
account.

## Background

When working with Risk Cloud via the API, it's common to need User IDs for tasks ranging from
enabling and disabling Users to assigning Users to Records. The endpoint below returns an array of
all Users in your Risk Cloud environment.

## Usage

To obtain a list of all Users in your environment, make the following request:

```
GET /api/v1/users
```

The response contains an array of all Users in your environment. The `id` property of each object
can be used in future API requests.

### Response example

```json theme={null}
[
  {
    "active": true,
    "id": "string",
    "email": "string",
    "first": "string",
    "last": "string",
    "disabled": true,
    "archived": true,
    "roles": [null],
    "serviceAccount": true,
    "superUser": true,
    "created": "2019-08-24T14:15:22Z",
    "updated": "2019-08-24T14:15:22Z"
  }
]
```

## Next steps

The `serviceAccount` field identifies integration users — see
[Service Accounts](https://developers.logicgate.ai/guides/api-usage/service-accounts.md) for how to create and manage them. With
User IDs in hand, you can also use them with
[Export Record Data](https://developers.logicgate.ai/guides/api-usage/risk-cloud-export-record-data.md) or other record endpoints
that reference a specific User.
